We believe foundation models, agents, and applied machine learning are reshaping every layer of the software stack — from the infrastructure that trains and serves models to the products that put intelligence directly in the hands of end users. This is a generational platform shift, and the next decade of category-defining companies will be built on top of it.

Jura Capital is an AI-first fund. We back small, technical teams using AI to compress workflows, unlock new product surfaces, and reach industries that legacy software never served well. We are equally comfortable with model-layer infrastructure, AI-native developer tools, vertical agents, applied-AI products in regulated and underserved markets, and the hardware — silicon, robotics, and edge devices — that the next wave of intelligence will run on.

We invest our own balance sheet. That gives us the freedom to move quickly, hold patiently, and align with founders on a horizon measured in years, not quarters.

  • Stage

    Pre-seed and seed. We typically participate via post-money SAFEs alongside a lead, and selectively lead priced rounds.

  • Sectors

    AI infrastructure and tooling, foundation-model applications, agentic systems, vertical AI for regulated industries, AI-native developer tools, and AI-enabled hardware — silicon, robotics, and edge devices.

  • Check size

    $25k to $250k initial checks, with reserves for follow-on in companies showing real traction and capital efficiency.

  • Geography

    Global. Headquartered in the United States; comfortable with remote-first teams and cross-border structures.

Process

Founder-friendly by default.

  1. 01

    Intro

    A short email with the company, the team, and what you are building. A deck or memo helps but is not required.

  2. 02

    Conversation

    One or two calls with the founders. We focus on the problem, the wedge, and the team's unique insight.

  3. 03

    Decision

    A clear yes or no within two weeks. Standard YC SAFE on founder-friendly terms; no board seat, no information rights theatre.

  4. 04

    Support

    Help when asked: hiring, technical review, intros to later-stage capital. Otherwise, we get out of the way.
